The Frost Studio Jazz Band, under the direction of Etienne Charles, presents a concert featuring a wide-ranging look at jazz’s global reach and the under-represented voices that have shaped it. Classic French and Francophone standards share the program with works by women composers whose contributions have too often been overlooked. The repertoire highlights lyrical French melodies and fresh modern charts that reflect women’s perspectives on the music’s past and future. This concert continues the band’s tradition of spotlighting diverse voices in jazz. This concert is In honor of Women’s History Month and Francophone Month. Tickets are $20 general admission, $16 Elders, $10 students here: https://ci.ovationtix.com/1811/performance/11678120?performanceId=11678120, and at the box office. There is parking on campus in lots. Valet parking will be available for $10. We like masks if you do. (UM – Coral Gables)
