Gafieira Rio Miami is a vibrant and high-energy 11-piece Brazilian big band that masterfully blends the sounds of samba, jazz, and soul into a uniquely infectious musical experience. Inspired by the grand ballroom traditions of Rio de Janeiro, the group brings together top South Florida musicians to reinterpret and celebrate Brazil’s rich musical heritage. With bold horns, rhythmic percussion, and powerful vocals, Gafieira Rio Miami creates a sound that’s both deeply rooted in tradition and refreshingly modern. Led by bassist and musical director Diogo Brown, the band has quickly become a standout on the South Florida music scene, performing at major events and venues while earning praise for their dynamic arrangements and irresistible grooves.
