FIRST FRIDAYS OF THE MONTH features Jazz Fridays and tonight we are proud to present: Sunnyside Swing (featuring Tom Regis on keys, Jill Lurie on vocals/percussion and Jim McCreavy on Guitar) with Bob Merrill oof Legends Radio 100.3 FM. Together they bring the timeless elegance of the Great American Songbook to life with warmth, style, and authentic swing. Their music draws from vintage jazz and blues of the 1910s through the 1950s, with a touch of bossa nova and Latin rhythms. Sunnyside Swing digs deep into the overlooked gems of early American popular music, pairing clever, story-rich lyrics with an irresistible groove that pulls you in from the very first note. If you know Bob from Legends Radio, you already appreciate his deep connection to this music. On stage, he’s equal parts charm, musicianship, and classic showmanship. Together, we’ll be creating a lively evening of nostalgia, perfect for listening, dancing, or simply soaking in the atmosphere.

Once a month on the First Friday of the Month, the Norton Museum of Art features “Live Jazz at the Norton” in it’s ‘Norton after Dark” series. This event is FREE but you have to pay for admission to the Museum. Admission during ‘Art After Dark‘ is $10 for Adults & Seniors, $5 for Students. Tickets may be purchased at the Reception Desk or reserved in advance at https://www.norton.org/programs/art-after-dark. 

Parking is available in the Norton’s main parking lot at 1501 South Dixie Highway, immediately across the street from the Museum. Parking is $5 per car, per day. Norton Members park for free. Come to the Norton Museum and catch their latest exhibition and while you are there stop by The Restaurant at the Norton offers indoor and outdoor seating with beautiful views of our Sculpture Garden.
