​Tonight it’s the Gary Campbell Quartet! Gary will be joined by John Hart on guitar, Brandon Lee Lewis on drums, and Mike Ramos on bass. Saxophonist/composer Gary Campbell grew up in Indianapolis Indiana. After brief stints at Indiana University and the University of Miami, Gary migrated to New York City. From the late 60’s through the early 80’s he was active in the innovative, jazz loft scene, and freelance gigging. He has appeared on records as a sideman and leader with Randy Brecker, John Abercrombie, Adam Nussbaum, David Friesen, Ira Sullivan, Andy LaVerne, and others. Over the past 15 years he has toured and recorded with the Miroslav Vitous Group – three CDs on the ECM label, one on Challenge Records. Downbeat is 9pm. A real Miami treasure, Lagniappe House has fabulous wine and charcuterie boards.
