Come join the fun and celebrate International Jazz Day with the ALLIGATOR ALLEY JAZZ ALL STARS, a stellar lineup led by South Florida bass stalwart KILMO DOOME. Kilmo was mentored by legendary Ft. Lauderdale bassist Jaco Pastorious, considered by most the greatest bass player in history. In the early 80s Kilmo performed in NYC in a trio with Jaco on piano and, John Coltrane’s drummer, Rashid Ali. Performing with seminal Jazz-Rock group Blood, Sweat & Tears upon moving to New York, he also worked and jammed with many well know Jazz artists including Phil Markowitz, Joe Locke, Bill Evans (sax), Jim Beard, Mark Feldman and many others.

In the guitar chair for this Allstar group is CARLOS TOMATI. Considered an icon of Brazilian guitar, TOMATI (toe-mah-chee) surprises fans with his popular sonority and contemporary style, playing his own compositions and classics of Brazilian and World Music, making his guitar sing popular melodies in arrangements at the same time elegant and energetic. TOMATI stands out for his versatility and musical knowledge. TOMATI has worked on Brazilian TV, from 1998 until 2015, playing guitar at the talkshow of the multimedia artist Jô Soares (similar to Late Nite with David Letterman) and had the opportunity to play alongside hundreds of national and international artists, like Chick Correa, George Benson, Joe Satriani, Elza Soares, David Richards, Emílio Santiago, Ed Motta, Roberto Leal, Ivan Lins and others, besides presenting his personal projects THT – Tomati Homeless trio and Bossa Fusion Duo with singer Michelle Spinelli.

The trio is rounded out by PETE DAVENPORT; drummer, percussionist, composer, arranger and producer who graduated from Eastman School of Music in 1980. Since that time, Peter has toured, composed and recorded with artists including Scott Henderson, Jim Beard, Uri Caine, Leni Stern, Chuck Loeb, James Williams, Ed Schuller and many more. As founding member of the group, “Bluth”, Peter received world acclaim as drummer, composer, vocalist and producer. The CD titled Bluth won Jazz album of the year in The German Jazz Critics poll 1998. Most recently, the new Mobscene CD entitled Singularity has just been released. Pete co-produced, engineered, composed and played drums alongside world renowned trumpet player, Bill Mobley and saxophone great, Danny Walsh. (Fort Lauderdale)
